Musings from PLL 2x25
What the eff happened?! I think we were left with more questions than answers! Here’s what I thought and what I think will happen next season!
So who actually is ‘A’?
So we know Mona is ‘A’, or actually, an ‘A’. Mona mentioned a team…an ‘A’ Team leading us to believe that there was a ring-leader and a group of people working together as ‘A’. This makes sense as it was near impossible for one person to be able to be everywhere at the same time.
Who is in the ‘A’Club?
Mona had issues. She was troubled, held a grudge and was easily influenced. Going down that track, people like Mike Montgomery, Noel, Hanna’s step-sister Kate even possibly Lucas.
Who was the Black Swan?
Before it came out that Mona was ‘A’, she hinted to Spencer that the woman dressed as the Black Swan was ‘A’, as sketches of a Black Swan costume were discovered in ‘A’s lair. That said, I’m convinced it was Ashley Marin that was dressed as the Black Swan.
So does that make Ashley Marin the Ring-Leader?
I doubt it. I’m convinced Ashley was there to spy on Hanna and the liars in an attempt to find out more on ‘A’. She’s the only parent that is hot on the ‘A’ trail and attending a masquerade ball at her daughters school to find information is something Ashley would do.
So then why was she talking to Lucas and Jenna?
I believe she’s enlisted the help of Lucas and Jenna to try and see what they know about the ‘A’ situation. I think there’s the ‘A’Club and it’s ring-leader and the anti-‘A’Club and Ashley is its ring-leader! Remember the scene with Jenna meeting someone in a park and then giving a scarf or blanket to someone saying “They will all be at the party”? I believe she was speaking to Ashley.
If Ashley isn’t the ring-leader, then how did those sketches end up at ‘A’s lair?
I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Mona’s idea of Ashley attending the ball and even designing the outfit for her, then using the sketches to try and sway the liars off the ‘A’ scent onto a wrong person.
Then who is the ‘A’Club ring-leader?
To me…i’m still going with Mamma Hastings. She’s got a huuuuge grudge going on with the whole Jason/Ali/Cheating Husband situation. She’s powerful and very personable. She’s got access to money and has the strongest reason to be the ring-leader.
Season Three?
I think Ashley will remain hot on the ‘A’ trail to the point she’ll become the first parent to become actively involved with ‘A’ and the liars. I think her snooping and prying will see her become a direct target and hate to say it, I see things becoming more intense between her and Wilden.
This HAS to be Ali’s twin that peeps are talking about, although her ‘appearances’ have come at a time when the liars have been under the influence of prescription medication!

Musings from 2x24 PLL
I watched this episode closely….like VERY closely. Here’s what I picked up on.
Who has seen the latest episode 2x24? I paid a lot of attention to it to try and pick-up on anything and here’s what caught my attention:
Point One: Mona and Caleb. Anyone else feel like Mona might have set the whole scenario up to get closer to Caleb?
Point Two: Ashley asking about the fire that almost killed Jenna. Was she just concerned or was she wanting to know if the liars had information?
Point Three: I’m convinced a Montgomery or Ezra isn’t involved with ‘A’. There’s too much going on with EzAria to throw in ‘A’ business as well.
Point Four: Spencer’s dream…Could it have been Alison’s twin that everyone is talking about or was Spencer just hopped up on pain medication?
Point Five: The owner of the doll hospital was paid off in cash…and a lot of it. There’s no way Ashley Marin is handing off that much cash and the only family with real access to money like that is a Hastings.
Today is ‘A’ day
So today is officially ‘A’ Day in the world of Pretty Little Liars. I’m worried.
There have been lots of talk about Ashley Marin either being the one who gets killed off or is in co-horts with Mona to become ‘A’. Either way, i’m loving all the attention Ashley Marin/Laura Leighton is getting….much much more than the other parents on the show.
My theories… Marlene King has mentioned that fans should watch the movie Psycho before watching the season 2 finale. From memory, the only connection between the two comes down to Janet Leigh’s character (Marion Craine) and Laura Leighton’s (Ashley Marin).
In the movie Psycho, Marion works at a bank and steals $40,000 and runs off. In Pretty Little Liars, Ashley Marin works at a bank and steals money (Have we ever been told how much? Was it $40,000?)
Perhaps i’m missing someone from PLL who has mommy issues, or is it the fact that Psycho has a very memorable shower scene and who can forget in PLL the shower scene between Hanna and Caleb?
I’m just throwing out substitutes in the hope that Ashley Marin survives all of this.
